ASB in Cucumber Woods

Following reports of anti-social behaviour and arson from local residents, we have worked with Reading Golf Club to secure a compound in woodland known locally as Cucumber Wood, which is being accessed by children and other young persons.

Cucumber Wood, and all of the land edged with a blue line on the plan below (bounded mainly by Kidmore End Road, Tanners Lane and Highdown Hill Road), is the private property of Reading Golf Club.  Please do not access, or allow your children to access, this land or the buildings. The redundant buildings on the site are potentially unstable and dangerous.

Police will be patrolling the area in order to deter and detect any further activity. Anyone found trespassing on this private property or causing damage, including removing signs or damaging fencing, will be liable to prosecution.

Access to the land owned by Reading Golf Club is strictly permitted only for authorised uses, including disc golf via Disc Golf UK, and along the public path identified by a red line on the plan
